Quart La Tour Plant (Aosta)

The La Tour ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant is located in the center of the Aosta Valley, in the municipality of Quart, right next to the loading tank of the Nus hydroelectric power plant. The area is particularly sunny and with great natural beauty.

The power plant's latest-generation polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules are 777: optimally inclined, are then placed on stainless steel and anodized aluminium support structures. The modules are divided into three electrically independent subfields in order to ensure business continuity even in the event of failure.

The maximum output of the CVA power plant at La Tour is 178 kW peak. Its solar photovoltaic energy production averages 214 MWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of about 80 typical households. This activity avoids the emission of about 100 t of CO2 into the atmosphere.

For the CVA Group, the La Tour power plant, along with those at Alessandria Sud and Valenza Fornace, is an important part of the photovoltaic power generation in Italy.
